Overview

The clearest way to hold water

Acrylic glass — technically cast acrylic or PMMA — is the material that makes transparent pools possible. It transmits more light than glass, stays crystal clear at great thickness and is far more impact-resistant for a fraction of the weight.

PRUVA treats acrylic as a core discipline: we cast, cut, thermoform, chemically bond and polish acrylic glass in-house, so every panel is engineered and finished under one roof.

Why PRUVA

Key advantages

Superior optical clarity

Acrylic glass transmits more light than glass and stays clear even at extreme thickness.

Up to 17x stronger

Cast acrylic is far more impact-resistant than glass at a fraction of the weight.

Thermoformable

Unlike glass, acrylic can be formed into seamless curves, tunnels and bespoke shapes.

Restorable finish

Scratches polish out completely, so acrylic glass can be returned to as-new clarity.

How we work

Our engineering process

01

Design & Engineering

We translate your concept into precise structural drawings, sizing every panel for water depth, span and safety.

02

In-House FEA Validation

Each acrylic element undergoes Finite Element Analysis to verify stress, deflection and long-term performance.

03

Fabrication & Bonding

Panels are cast, thermoformed and chemically bonded into seamless, optically clear, water-tight units.

04

Installation & Finishing

On-site integration, sealing and final underwater/dry polishing deliver a flawless, distortion-free result.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Is acrylic glass the same as normal glass?

No. Acrylic glass (cast acrylic / PMMA) is a transparent polymer that is clearer at thickness, much stronger against impact, lighter, and can be thermoformed — making it ideal for pools.

Does acrylic glass scratch easily?

It can scratch, but unlike glass those scratches can be fully polished out, restoring a flawless surface — a service we provide underwater and dry.

How are large acrylic glass panels joined?

We chemically bond panels into a single monolithic unit with optically clear, water-tight joints — effectively making multiple sheets behave as one.
